The LIA project

LIA, short for Longitudinal Identity research in Adolescence, took place between 2017 and 2020. Funded by FWO, over 2200 adolescents were able to join the LIA project at school. Over the course of three years, our team collected over 700.000 survey responses, providing rich information on self-harm, identity development, personality, and a broad range of psychopathology markers. Thanks to the sustained efforts of the respondents and their schools, we were able to continue working towards a better understanding of youth mental health.

Since wrapping up the LIA project, 11 manuscripts were published by LIA team members.
